Here are some samples of various music projects we've been working on:
The KAVE Project
Josh, Terry, Matt Reed and myself colloborated on a few tracks back in December 2004. These songs are laid-back atmospheric space jazz.
Beatdown Productions
My roommate Josh writes great music. He may resist many of my suggestions (even if they're good ones ;) but its hard to argue with his results. His focus and determination are the reason why he's got dozens of tracks that are ready to be played in clubs and bumpin' on the streets while I merely have folders full of half-baked ideas. He goes by Beatdown cuz his shit hits hard. Seriously. This stuff makes what passes for crunk on the radio now sound like a damn lullaby. Here are some raw beats for sale:
Over the summer, he worked with the artist Lil' One on his forthcoming album Book of Scriptures. Here's a little taste:
Steve "3D" Saunderson's unique style flows perfectly over these idiosyncratic Beatdown joints:
Is Beatdown all hip-hop? Hell no. A little hardcore drumnbass to get you movin':

My stuff
As I've already mentioned, I've got a lot of starts but not many finishes when it comes to music. I approach working with Reason and ProTools as a stress release. I used to come home after work, throw on some headphones and just mess with sounds. Sometimes a notable loop might come out of it. Rarely would I take the time to do any sequencing, let alone mixing. I saved most of my ProTools files in folders by date, since you have to name the project before you start and I usually had no idea what to put. Here are a few pieces I've done:
